Sometimes, I get requests for things that I have never made or heard of before. A good example was when a family friend asked me to make a sugar-free, low-carb, keto diet friendly cake for her birthday. My first instinct was to say no, because I have never made it, but after talking through it with my dad, I agreed to make whatever recipe she sends. Later that week, I made the chocolate cake. WHen I tried to take it out of the pan, the avocado oil spray I used didn’t do enough for the whole cake to smoothly come out smoothly, so I had to improvise. I took a circular cookie cutter and cut multiple circles in the part of the cake that came out smoothly. Next, I took some heavy whipping cream and cocoa powder, then whisked it until it became stiff. I put the chocolate whipped cream in a piping bag with a flower tip, and piped a big ruffled flower on top of the chocolate cake circles. Lastly, I topped it with a raspberry. When my family friend saw the cake, she enjoyed her birthday cake thoroughly and ended up posting this same photo on her instagram.
